Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest crude oil exporter, imported 1.23 million tonnes of discounted Russian fuel oil in May to meet rising domestic summer demand while maximizing profits by exporting its own high-value crude. This strategy allows Saudi to keep the lights on at home and earn more from global markets simultaneously.
